We are fortunate to live in these times where science can help us understand things more fully. In the past many things were worked out somewhat intuitively which was fine but it’s good to see those things be proven by systematic & scientific observation & documentation.

These days we have systematic evidence that the following will add a number of extra healthy & active years to your life.

1/- Friendly Relationships

That is correct, plain old simple close friends. Having close, loving, caring friends within your family and/or outside your family helps relieve stress & makes your life feel more complete. I mean the type of companions you can share intimate things with; both your highs & your lows.

2/- Get Enough Sleep

A regular good night’s rest does wonders. When you have a good full night’s sleep, both your body & your mind can process the day’s activities & get you ready for the next day.

3/- Exercise

Exercising is great because it will get your heart pumping & your blood circulating. This means that nutrients & oxygen are delivered to your cells & waste products are removed. Both are required for good health.

4/- Avoid Tobacco & Drugs

Cigarettes & drugs do zilch to help your body or your mind in the long term. They tax your system & make it work harder than it otherwise should.

5/- Alcohol in Moderation

Alcohol in excess has a very harmful effect on the body over time nonetheless good quality table wine or lager in moderation can essentially have a positive & healthy effect on the body but make certain you keep it in balance. If you can’t keep it in balance then it’s best to avoid it altogether.
